ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Vice-President, Programs and Partnerships, the Manager, Programs and Partnerships Development is responsible for supporting CICan’s strategic growth and positioning through the development of domestic and international programs, partnerships, and revenue generation opportunities aligned with CICan’s Roadmap to 2030 and the renewed Programs & Partnerships platform strategy.
The Manager has responsibility for advancing strategic business development opportunities, conducting market and partnership analysis, identifying and assessing funding opportunities, and supporting the development of scalable initiatives that mobilize the expertise of CICan members in response to Canada’s workforce, innovation, reconciliation, productivity, and international engagement priorities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Graduate from a Canadian post-secondary institution or its equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in:

Strategic partnership development, business development, program development, international engagement, or complex stakeholder environments.
-
Proposal development, partnership building, and strategic initiative development involving multiple stakeholders.
-
Extensive experience in program planning, management, budget development, and control. International program/project management experience using logic model approaches
-
Domestic and/or international program development, funding environments, and partnership ecosystems.
-
Engaging with governments, industry, international organizations, or multilateral partners.
-
Experience in preparing concept papers, proposal development, narrative and financial reports, where applicable using current GAC, and other development partners’ requirements.
-
Staff supervision and team leadership.
-
Experience supporting international missions, export-oriented initiatives, or strategic international engagement activities. (an asset)
Knowledge:
-
The Canadian college and institute system, including institutional priorities, capabilities, innovation and workforce development roles.

Strong understanding of international business development, international market dynamics, economic partnerships, or trade-related engagement approaches
-
Strong understanding of international business development, international market dynamics, economic partnerships, or trade-related engagement approaches.

Communications skills and ability to interact with senior officials of member institutions and other agencies including government, financial institutions and the private sector, and to design and deliver impactful presentations.

Canada’s trade diversification and international economic priorities. (an asset)

Familiarity with multilateral organizations, development banks, or international funding environments. (an asset)
Language: Bilingual - English and French mandatory
COMPENSATION: $107,116 to $129,631
STATUS: Full-time (Management position – MGT I)
