Position: Office Administrator ( 6 MONTH TERM)

Wage Scale: $18.31 - $20.59 per hour (based on experience)
Neecheewam Inc. has an Office Administrator full-time position that is available at Head Office. Hour of operations are Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This position reports primarily to the Human Resource Manager. Neecheewam is a professionally staffed community-based organization designed to meet the unique and individual needs of Indigenous youth requiring safe care. Treatment and healing from an Indigenous perspective will be realized through The Seven Sacred Teachings, which honour the universal values shared by all First Nations.

Qualifications: Education, Experience
Completion of secondary school is required.
- Completion of college, certificate or diploma or other courses in personnel administration. Administrative experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), emailing, internet usage
- Ability to use fax machine, photocopier and desk top computer
- Ability to professional and maintain confidential information
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge and ability to participate in Indigenous/First Nations cultural events.
Responsibilities: Clerical Supports and Reception
- Perform clerical duties :maintain customer relations, answer calls, message taking, emailing, coordinating appointments, problem-solve customer inquiries, scanning, faxing, file management.
- Light housekeeping duties for the reception area and board room (vacuuming, watering plants, maintain coffee station, clean washrooms).
- Ordering food for events.
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory this includes amazon online ordering.
- Keep track of donations and event tickets for lodges
- Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other locations/lodges throughout the organization.
- Prepare agenda for management meetings and take minute notes during manager’s meetings.
- Track and maintain a record of employee cellphones, laptops, accessories,
- Daily back-up of computer system.
- Responsible for all correspondence to lodges pertaining to meetings, notices, etc.
- Maintaining calendar for meetings, events, trainings etc.
- Maintaining inventory of first aid supplies for the head office.
- Participate in staff trainings and workshops if applicable.
- Assisting Finance Technician with payroll duties (i.e. payroll back-up system, Imprest)
- Logging and distribution of mail.
- Coordinate with external agencies for maintenance, issues and new set-up
- Other duties as assigned
Pay: $18.31-$20.59 per hour
