Job Overview
Torresan Plumbing & Heating is looking for an experienced Plumber to be part of our family-run team. You’ll provide skilled installation, maintenance, and repair services for residential and commercial clients in the Lower Mainland, deliver courteous customer care, and help preserve our reputation for durable, high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and specifications to plan plumbing layouts for water, waste and drainage systems.
- Measure, mark and prepare locations for pipe runs, fixtures and penetrations in walls and floors.
- Install, service and repair commercial and residential plumbing systems and fixtures (toilets, sinks, pumps, backflow preventers, etc.).
- Diagnose and test systems for leaks, pressure issues and performance; complete accurate service reports.
- Clear and repair clogged drains and broken drainage lines; replace parts and fixtures as required.
- Install domestic appliances (washing machines, dishwashers) and hydronic/gas heating components (boilers, radiators, controls).
- Ensure compliance with local and provincial plumbing and safety codes; complete required documentation and permits.
- Demonstrates a team-player attitude, willingly assisting colleagues and mentoring junior staff when requested.
- Maintain accurate job records, parts inventory and time reporting; communicate clearly with customers and the office.
- Lead by example on every job: model safe work practices, high-quality workmanship, punctuality, and a professional attitude that sets the standard for the team.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by communicating clearly, treating customers with respect, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring clean, courteous job site practices and thorough follow-up.
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or trade diploma; Red Seal or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ plumbing experience in residential and/or commercial settings.
- Valid BC driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Valid license/certification to practice where required (e.g., gas ticket, backflow certification).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and clear verbal/written communication.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in varied positions and environments.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
- Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
