Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers with measuring, cutting, and fitting windows and doors according to project specifications.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, levels, and drills to support installation tasks.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to understand project requirements.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency of installed units.
- Support with restoration work, including painting or touch-ups around installation areas.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of installation to prevent accidents.
Requirements
- Basic familiarity with hand tools used in construction or carpentry work.
- Previous construction experience or exposure to building sites is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and sealing methods for weatherproofing.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Good physical stamina; able to lift heavy materials and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding safely.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills such as plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, or restoration work.
