Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our warehouse team in Edmonton, AB. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and timely shipping and receiving of products, maintaining efficient warehouse operations, and supporting order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving, and be familiar with warehouse equipment and systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and efficiency are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, schedule, and coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and freight partners.
- Receive incoming deliveries; verify accuracy against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation for all outgoing shipments.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, errors, or discrepancies.
- Monitor existing outbound shipments to ensure billing is completed timely and accurately.
- Create and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
- Maintain accurate records within inventory or ERP systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, drivers, and internal teams.
- Address and resolve any shipping-related customer issues.
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving, or distribution is preferred
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP systems, or S2K is a plus
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate order picking and inventory management
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining safety standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is an asset.
