Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalized care. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess individual children's progress, maintaining detailed documentation of developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns or special needs.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or requiring special education services.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the classroom according to licensing requirements.
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication with families and colleagues.
- Lead by example in demonstrating effective communication skills, time management, leadership, and organizational skills within the team.
Experience
- Valid registration as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood settings.
- Prior social skills experience working with young children in early childhood settings.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education environments is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Demonstrated leadership skills along with strong writing skills for documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with computer operation, classroom management software, and educational tools is advantageous.
