Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles to support our business operations effectively.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and balances.
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage for record-keeping and reporting.
- Prepare financial reports and statements as needed for management review.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain organized financial records for easy retrieval and reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and bank reconciliation.
- Knowledge of budgeting practices and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.
