The Chef/Owner Miles Pundsack-Poe was trained in some of Spain’s Michelin Stared restaurants, the food program draws inspiration from the culture of contemporary Spanish restaurants while combining seasonal Canadian ingredients with global influences,
The Role
We are seeking an Head Chef / CDC who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented kitchen and takes pride in craftsmanship, organization, and teamwork. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who values precision, consistency, ingredient quality, and hospitality at a high level.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef in shaping the culinary identity, systems, and culture of Foxy’s, with the long-term opportunity to eventually step into leading day-to-day kitchen operations as the company continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in leading daily kitchen operations
- Execute and oversee dishes with precision, consistency, and strong attention to detail
- Work across multiple stations and support the team wherever needed
- Prepare and execute Spanish-inspired small plates, seafood, rice dishes, cured products, and traditional sauces
- Lead service with calmness, urgency, and professionalism
- Maintain a clean, organized, and disciplined kitchen environment
- Assist with ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and food cost control
- Train, mentor, and develop junior cooks
- Uphold high standards of food safety, sanitation, and product quality
- Help foster a culture of professionalism, respect, accountability, and teamwork
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- understanding of modern Spanish cuisine, local ingredients, and culinary traditions and current trends.
- Ability to balance rustic flavours with polished execution and presentation
- Previous Sous Chef or kitchen leadership experience
- Comfortable working within a small, high-performance team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Desire to grow into a senior leadership role within the company
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
