Kamloops Large Animal Veterinary Clinic is looking for a motivated and hardworking Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team.
We are a true large animal practice focused on bovine and equine medicine. This position is ideal for someone passionate about livestock and horses who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
About the Role
The Veterinary Assistant will support our veterinarians with a variety of clinical and administrative duties both in-clinic and in the field.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with bovine and equine appointments and procedures
- Preparing equipment and treatment areas
- Animal handling and restraint
- Cleaning and maintaining clinic spaces and equipment
- Stocking supplies and assisting with inventory
- Supporting diagnostic imaging and laboratory tasks
- Client communication
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with cattle and/or horses required
- Comfortable handling large animals safely and confidently
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a busy practice
- Valid driver’s license required
- Veterinary clinic experience is an asset but not required

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
