Streets of Toronto is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and social-media-savvy Junior Social Media Coordinator & Sales Associate to join our growing team.
This is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of social media, sales, content, and client coordination. You’ll work closely with our internal sales team, external agency partners, and social team to help bring campaigns to life across Streets of Toronto and Streets of Toronto DO.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands what makes content work on social, loves Toronto, is comfortable communicating with clients and prospects, and can keep multiple moving pieces organized at once.
What You'll Do
Social Media & Campaign Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule paid social media deliverables between our internal sales team, external agency partners, and social team.
- Help ensure sponsored content is delivered accurately and on time.
- Assist with day-to-day coordination of social content across Streets of Toronto and Streets of Toronto DO.
- Help schedule organic content when needed.
- Source relevant, engaging content for our social feeds.
- Repost and adapt content across Instagram, Threads, and TikTok.
- Support the social team with day-to-day administrative and organizational needs.
Sales & Lead Generation
- Proactively identify and reach out to potential new advertising and social media clients.
- Monitor and vet leads coming through our social media channels.
- Research incoming leads and determine which opportunities are a strong fit for the Streets of Toronto brand.
- Reach out to reputable and relevant prospective clients.
- Help develop creative social media pitches and sales opportunities.
- Learn and understand the Streets of Toronto brand, audience, and content offering in order to help build compelling client proposals.
Reporting & Analytics
- Put together monthly social media analytics and performance reports.
- Track campaign deliverables and help monitor performance.
- Identify key insights and trends that can help improve future social content and client campaigns.
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, marketing, sales, media, communications, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and emerging social platforms.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable reaching out to potential clients and starting conversations.
- A natural eye for compelling social content and an understanding of what performs well.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting.
- Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Toronto's restaurants, events, culture, neighbourhoods, businesses, and lifestyle scene.
- A genuine interest in media, social media, advertising, and the Toronto community.
Bonus Points For
- Experience working in digital media, publishing, advertising, or an agency environment.
- Experience with social media scheduling and analytics platforms.
- Experience supporting branded social campaigns.
- Existing knowledge of Toronto's hospitality, lifestyle, entertainment, and retail landscape.
- A strong personal understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends.

You're someone who can move between sales, social media, and operations without missing a beat. You don't need to be an expert at everything, but you should be curious, adaptable, organized, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
You notice a great piece of content before someone tells you it's great. You know which Toronto businesses are worth reaching out to. You can spot a promising lead in the DMs. And when a campaign has five moving parts and three different teams involved, you're the person making sure everyone knows what's happening.
