Are you a customer service star who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Guards to join our team at Victoria International Airport (YYJ).
As an Airport Security Officer, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing exceptional service to airport contractors, employees, passengers, and the public.
We are looking for candidates to support:

AVOP Drivers – Airport Escorts

PESO Officers $24.46/hour

Patrol Officers $23.16/hour

SOC Operator $25.10/hour

Provide professional and specialized security services based on client and airport requirements.

Patrol airport properties and designated areas to ensure the safety of people and property.
-
Escort and monitor YYJ contractors and trades in secure and sensitive areas of the airport and airfield.

Ensure contractors have valid temporary passes and are authorized to access assigned areas.

Operate a marked company vehicle when required.

Follow and enforce airport, client, and company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, suspicious activity, and other irregularities.

Respond to emergencies and contact appropriate personnel and emergency responders when required.

Provide first aid and medical assistance when required.

Provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to questions and inquiries from passengers, contractors, employees, and the public.

Complete accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors and airport personnel.

Valid BC Security Worker Licence (Security Guard designation) – required.

Eligible to work in Canada.

Ability to obtain and maintain the required Transport Security Clearance.

Valid Class 5 required for applicable positions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service skills and a professional, approachable attitude.

Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced airport environment.

Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (AVOP) – an asset.
-
RAIC – an asset.
-
OFA Level 1 – an asset.
