About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sales Assistant with a background in hospitality, hotels, or event operations to support our Sales Manager in driving group and event business. This role plays a critical part in coordinating high-quality guest experiences and ensuring seamless execution of events from inquiry to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Manager in managing group sales, corporate accounts, and event bookings
- Assist with the coordination, maintenance, and growth of corporate accounts, including client communication and relationship tracking
- Maintain accurate record keeping of client interactions, contracts, and sales activities
- Handle group and event inquiries with a strong focus on conversion and client relationship building
- Create and manage group blocks, rooming lists, and reservations using hospitality systems
- Prepare and maintain detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event documentation
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments (kitchen, banquet, front desk)
- Participate in weekly event meetings with the Executive Chef and Banquet team to review logistics and execution plans
- Coordinate and execute weddings, corporate functions, conferences, and social events
- Conduct site tours and assist in showcasing event spaces to prospective clients
- Assist in preparing contracts and finalizing event details
- Ensure all last-minute changes and special requests are handled efficiently
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and secure repeat business
- Maintain accurate sales reports, databases, and documentation
- Identify upselling opportunities and contribute to revenue growth
Qualifications (Hospitality-Focused)
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hospitality sales, hotel operations, or event coordination REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of event flow, banquet operations, and guest service standards
- Experience working with BEOs, group bookings, and event logistics
- Proven ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel/property management systems or CRM tools is an asset
- Ability to work Tuesdays-Saturdays 9:00AM-4:30PM
Education
- High school diploma required
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
