Job Description – Cabinet Finisher / PainterPosition Summary
The Cabinet Finisher/Painter is responsible for preparing, staining, painting, and applying clear finishes to custom cabinetry and architectural millwork. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality finished products that meet company standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate has experience with spray finishing techniques, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare wood and millwork surfaces by sanding, filling, cleaning, and masking as required.
- Apply stains, primers, paints, sealers, lacquers, conversion varnishes, and other coatings using spray equipment or other approved methods.
- Mix and match stains, paints, and finishes to achieve specified colours and sheen levels.
- Inspect finished components for colour consistency, coverage, and overall quality.
- Perform touch-ups, repairs, and refinishing as required.
- Maintain spray booths, spray guns, pumps, and finishing equipment to ensure proper operation.
