Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced warehouse and production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely moving, storing, and organizing products while supporting inventory control and warehouse operations.
This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Move finished goods, raw materials, and pallets throughout the warehouse and storage facility
- Stack products in designated storage bays according to inventory control procedures
- Stack and organize empty pallets
- Remove products from the palletizer in a timely manner to support production flow
- Ensure all pallets are properly labeled and stored in the correct locations
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
- Assist with inventory management and month-end inventory counts
- Verify orders for accuracy and report any damaged or non-conforming products
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), FIFO (First In, First Out) principles, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping warehouse floors, trailers, and storage areas
- Support additional warehouse and production tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certification
- Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control
- Experience working with palletized products and storage systems
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and inventory documentation
- Familiarity with GMPs, FIFO principles, and SOPs is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks as required
- Strong awareness of workplace safety procedures
