We are looking for:
An honest and reliable picker who has the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will have demonstrated punctuality and commitment to your work from your previous work history and be comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
You will be bulk picking grocery product orders, which includes lifting heavy items. The environment is busy and requires a high attention to detail and awareness of your surroundings.
Duties-
The duties of Truck Driver include but are not limited to:
- Drives truck of more than 3 tonnes to transport and deliver cargo or materials
- Multiple drops and customer service
- Obeys all road and safety rules as laid out by all levels of government
- Maintains telephone contact and base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to the new location
- Maintains truck log according to regulations
- Keeps record of materials and products transported
- Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo for transport
- Cleans, Inspects and services vehicle
- Operates equipment on vehicle to load, unload or disperse cargo or materials
- Obtains customer signature or collects payment for goods delivered and delivery charges
- Assists in loading and unloading truck manually
- Assists in exchanging pallets where possible
- Maintains a valid driver's licence and ensure it is in good standing
- Other tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager
The duties of the Order Picker include but are not limited to:
- Order picking and packing of products
- Palletizing in an efficient and safe manner
- Operating an electric pallet mover in a safe manner
- Ensuring assigned electric pallet mover's battery is regularly filled with water
- Safe lifting of products and completing tasks in good time
- Being mindful of Occupational Health and Safety principles
- Operating a forklift if licence and required to do so
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse environment
- Performing other tasks as reasonably directed by the supervisor or manager
Requirements:
- Full Canadian working rights
- Valid Canadian drivers licence
- Experience as a Truck Driver and Order Picker would be a great advantage
- Have a track record of accuracy and productivity,
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have high attention to detail
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality and commitment to work
- Have a positive attitude and able to work well in a team
- Comfortable lifting 45lbs of weight
