Job Title: Formwork Carpenter
Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters for an immediate start on active construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building, assembling, and installing formwork for concrete structures in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Build, install, and remove concrete formwork for commercial projects

Construct footings, grade beams, slabs, and other concrete structures to spec

Install anchor bolts and embedded components prior to concrete pours

Assist with rebar tying, concrete placement, and finishing (sidewalks, curbs, pads, etc.)

Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and measurements for accurate layout
-
Build temporary structures (hoarding, shelters) as needed on site

Be flexible with hours, including extended shifts or occasional out-of-town work
Essential Skills
-
2 years of concrete formwork experience.

Proficiency in commercial concrete formwork, including slabs, footings, and related structures.

CSTS certification with WHMIS training.

Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and perform physically demanding tasks.

Experience with flat work and concrete finishing.

Ability to work long hours, including overtime and occasional night shifts, to support concrete pour schedules.

Ability to work safely in all weather conditions that permit the pouring of concrete.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Fall Protection and Confined Space Training certificates.
-
Peri formwork system experience.
-
Camlock formwork experience.
-
Ability to lay out and install concrete rebar accurately.
-
Industrial site experience, including work on large industrial facilities.

Concrete finishing experience on commercial and flat work projects.

Work Environment
The typical shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Overtime is accumulated after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.
