Qualifications:
- Up to date clear Child Abuse Registry check – (Full time to be renewed every 2 years; part-time to be renewed yearly)
- Up to date clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Record Check – (Full time to be renewed every 2 years; part-time to be renewed yearly)
- Up to date First Aid – (to be renewed every 3 years)
- WHMIS – to be done ASAP after taking the position
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Must be self-motivated, energetic, punctual and reliable
- No experience necessary
Job Summary – roles and responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Sweeping, dusting, wet mopping, scrubbing and spot cleaning, stripping, waxing, sealing and buffing floors as directed
- Trash pick up and removal, recycling and composting
- Dish washing
- Window and wall washing
- Disinfecting toys and other hard surfaces
- Moving furniture, assisting in loading, unloading and distribution of supplies
- Operating powered equipment typically used in custodial operations
- Maintaining supply and equipment inventory as directed. Keeping janitor closets clean and orderly, maintaining supplies and adhering to work plans
- Performing other duties deemed necessary by the Director
