Mondetta is seeking a Merchandiser to join our New Development team. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who excels at managing multiple priorities and building strong relationships across teams. In this role, you will help drive the product development process from concept through production, working closely with Design, Sales, and global manufacturing partners to ensure products are developed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

As our Merchandiser, you will play a key role in bringing products from concept to completion. Working closely with Design, Technical Design, Fabric, Sales, and our global manufacturing partners, you will help coordinate the product development process, ensure critical information is accurate and up to date, and support the successful execution of customer programs.
- Partner with Designers and Technical Designers to support the development of products from concept through commercialization.
- Manage style creation and maintain accurate product information within PLM and related systems, ensuring styles, specifications, and development details remain current throughout the product lifecycle.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for overseas vendors and manufacturing partners, communicating style details, development updates, approvals, and feedback throughout the development process. Coordinate product submissions, approvals, comments, and sample development to ensure products meet quality standards and remain on schedule.
- Track sample delivery timelines and proactively follow up on outstanding items to help keep development programs moving forward.
- Prepare and maintain line sheets, development trackers, costing support documents, and other merchandising tools required to support effective decision-making.
- Support customer presentations, line reviews, and seasonal meetings by coordinating product information, samples, colours, fabrics, and supporting materials.
- Work closely with Account Managers and Cost Analysts by providing accurate product information to support costing discussions, customer programs, and vendor negotiations.
- Build strong working relationships across internal teams and external partners while ensuring clear communication throughout the development process.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent education in Fashion, Apparel, Textiles, Merchandising, Product Development, or a related field.
- Experience supporting product development, merchandising, sourcing, manufacturing, or a related environment where multiple priorities and deadlines must be managed simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple styles, submissions, sample timelines, and development activities.
- The ability to communicate technical product information clearly and effectively to internal teams, customers, vendors, and manufacturing partners.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfort learning and working within PLM, Blue Cherry, or similar product management systems. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate product information, specifications, and documentation.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support team objectives wherever needed.
- Experience working within the apparel, fashion, activewear, or consumer products industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple product programs while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, garment construction, and apparel manufacturing timelines.
- Experience working directly with overseas vendors and manufacturing partners.
- Advanced proficiency with PLM systems, Blue Cherry, or similar product lifecycle management tools.
- A proactive mindset that anticipates challenges, follows through on commitments, and keeps programs moving forward.
