Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista & Café Team Member to join our vibrant coffee shop team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide friendly service to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, cups, utensils, and food items.
- Operate food preparation equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to health standards.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively with strong time management skills during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or food service environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is desirable but can be learned on the job.
