Responsibilities
- Intake and Client Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for clients, assessing their needs, explaining the firm’s process and structure, booking appointments, conducting conflict checks, and managing and conducting initial consultations with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research to support case preparation.
- Drafting and Representation: Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, including Small Claims Court and Human Rights Tribunal pleadings and pre-trial memos. Handle correspondence, ensuring clarity and legal accuracy, while keeping documentation meticulously organized.
- File and Deadline Management: Maintain and organize client files to ensure deadlines are met and processes run smoothly, while proactively keeping clients informed on case progress and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 2–5 years of relevant employment law experience
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and document drafting experience
- Familiarity with Clio and fluency in Spanish are significant assets
Location: Hybrid model with some in-office days at our Toronto office (Yonge & Bloor)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm EST
Expected Start Date: February 2025

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
