Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Industrial Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing engineering activities on-site. This includes aspects such as utilities management and optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, equipment qualification, process troubleshooting and problem-solving and technical support for all areas of the site. This individual will work closely with the other departments to ensure efficient operations and proper functionality of their equipment and systems.

Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for performance and optimization of Utilities systems (Electricity, Water, Gas, CO2, etc.)
Leads site efforts on Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Strong understanding of the operational processes and the capability to become a subject matter expert on technical processes and systems.
Utilizes Six Sigma tools such as DMAIC to solve problems and improve KPIs.
Uses LEAN principals to develop creative ideas to reduce waste and cost in the process.
Development and ownership of an interdisciplinary task force for equipment installations, improvement initiatives, etc.
Uses CAD to develop, design, and recommend plant and equipment layouts.
Researches equipment and helps identify vendors and options for new equipment purchases.
Develops departmental and site KPIs and management systems.
Supports further development of financial practices, optimization and budgetary tools
Uses ergonomic principles to develop and improve tools, equipment, and work stations
Provides sound technical and engineering advice for Facilities department and the site.
Supports and enforces a culture of accountability and meeting commitments
Works closely with the SI team to ensure the engineering scope for each project is properly defined; risks are clearly identified and with mitigating actions in place.
Defines and leads the implementation of corporate goals, strategies, and action plans, as they relate to departmental and site operations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
5 plus years previous work experience.
Leadership training or equivalent work experience.
Formal training in engineering management or equivalent work experience.
Experience with an ERP system is desirable
Above average command of office tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Office 365, Project 365
A strong command of the English language.
Document writing at a senior management level.
