Join our Team. We have a position open for a professional who wants to join a company that is passionate about patient care. Working directly with the retina specialist the successful candidate will:
· Provide extraordinary patient care, effective communication, and management of patient experience.
· Solid technical abilities (history taking, IOP, VA etc) and computer skills required (MS Office). Assisting the physician with procedures in the office (injection, laser etc).
· Scribe duties, including instructing and counselling patients on treatment and surgery.
· Book follow-up appointments with physician, manage organization of additional testing as required.
· Appropriate sanitization and aseptic technique for rooms and equipment in-between patients.
· Complete requests as they arise from physicians and management in a timely matter.
The successful applicant brings:
· Experience delivering exceptional customer service in a face-to-face environment.
· Certification Graduate of a formal training program (SAIT OA, JCAHPO COA or COT) preferred. Applicants with previous ophthalmology experience will be given priority.
· Capability to multi-task with an ability to self-manage, organize and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail based on the needs of the clinic, changing workloads, problem solving skills.
· Strong computer skills required.
· Good interpersonal and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and oral).
· A positive attitude, the enthusiasm to learn and work professionally with peers, to support both patients, their companions, and the physicians.
