Job Purpose
The Talent Coordinator is responsible for handling the full cycle recruitment for production and co-op student positions and aiding in salaried recruitment where needed. This includes all aspects of recruitment efforts, from resume screening to offer letters. This position is also responsible for all online job posting maintenance and maintaining records in our ATS.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit for high volume production positions to ensure plant is fully staffed, hitting orientation targets based on recruitment forecasts and hiring needs
- Screen and recommend applicants using ATS
- Schedule and maintain POET scheduling and tracking for internal and external hires
- Conduct high volume of phone screens and schedule interviews
- Deal with high volume of incoming calls, solve applicant issues and escalate to Talent Acquisition Team Lead as required while providing excellent customer service
- Complete reference checking process
- Manage administrative onboarding processes
- Maintain electronic filing of candidate records
- Responsible for recruitment tracking using spreadsheets and ATS
- Scheduling candidates for plant tours, ensuring all participants are aware of scheduling (including production supervisors and the reception desk)
- Manage internal and external online job postings
- Coordinate orientations with Training team for new hires and facilitate the recruitment portions of orientation
- Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment of co-op students and completing funding applications for co-op wages
- Attend career fairs and networking events, adding high potential candidates to talent pools
- Assist in foreign recruitment preparation for skilled and semi-skilled production positions (tracking)
- Follow up regularly with hiring managers and candidates to ensure that the recruitment process moves forward in a timely manner
- Assist with Talent projects and initiatives
- Act as a back up to the Talent Acquisition Team Lead for last minute coverage
- Other duties as required

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources and CHRP designation preferred
- 2 - 5 years of experience with high volume, in-house recruitment
- Experience in manufacturing/production recruitment is preferred
- Intermediate MS Office knowledge
- Strong understanding of recruitment metrics and process improvement
- Clear understanding of full-cycle recruitment
- Clear understanding of legal requirements
- Outstanding communication skills and team player with a positive attitude day in day out
- High level of professionalism and ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and prioritize when needed
- A desire to build strong working relationships
- Detail oriented and strong organization- & multitasking skills
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Demonstrated creativity in recruitment efforts
