International Nameplate Supplies Inc. (INPS) is a “world class provider of mobile identification graphics.” Our customers include (but are not limited to) the North American rail, transit, and trucking industries and various policing agencies across the continent.
We currently have an immediate opening for a Screen Prep Operator in our London, Ontario facility.
The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with other team members to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Clean screens, remove ink residue, and store screens for future reruns when appropriate.
- Select proper screen fabric and mesh count and cut fabric to size.
- Select and assemble screen frames as required.
- Stretch screen fabric across frames, tension fabric to specification, attach fabric, and label screens.
- Position film positives, expose screens, and develop screens according to job specifications.
- Tape and block out screen perimeters.
- Inspect screens for pinholes and perform repairs as required.
- Maintain adequate inventory of screen-making supplies.
- Log and file film and related production documentation.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately during production and upon completion of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform screen preparation duties and other related tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be comfortable wearing all required PPE when cleaning screens.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and production documentation.
- Basic math and measuring skills, including the ability to interpret blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to perform quality inspections requiring visual concentration and focus.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to stand, push, pull, and lift materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet production deadlines.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a standard manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to fumes and odors from inks, thinners, and cleaning products. Appropriate respirator equipment and protective coverings are provided where necessary. The facility is ventilated, temperature controlled, and subject to occasional moderate noise levels.
