Position Scope
As organizations grow, financial systems and business process need to evolve in order for the organization to achieve its long-term goals. Reporting to the Director, Financial and Business Systems, the Business Systems Analyst will work with the Director in the analysis and optimization of an organization’s business processes to improve overall organizational performance, as well as overseeing the implementation of organization-wide business process initiatives.
This position can be based in either the Vancouver or Squamish offices, with approximately half time in the Vancouver office and half time in the Squamish office.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director, Financial and Business Systems in defining and documenting business processes, understanding system objectives, recommending, and implementing business process solutions.
Research and recommend business process solutions, considering cost, time, and resources to implement.
Working with internal stakeholders and outside solution providers, coordinate the execution of projects and of change management processes.
Test new and upgraded business processes to ensure data accuracy and solution effectiveness.
Assist the Director, Finance and Business Systems in the design, implementation, training, and support of SharePoint.
Build and maintain internal resources for system users, including overview documentation, training documents and videos.
Communicate system updates and upgrades to users.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, to design and build reports and dashboards using Power Query and Power BI.
Inhouse solution expert able to troubleshoot issues, identify improvements and provide user support.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or professional designation
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as an ERP support specialist
Previous experience supporting an ERP implementing
Previous experience designing and building reports using Power Query or Power BI
Previous experience with implementing and supporting SharePoint
Project management experience
Experience in providing training and support to solution users
Key competencies
Understanding of key business process and systems.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into measurable action.
Ability to conceptualize stakeholders needs and translate into specific implementation strategies.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Action-oriented with high initiative and ability to think and operate independently.
Advanced skills in Microsoft O365 (all core applications), SharePoint, Power Query and Power BI.
