We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Shift Manager FOH to oversee front-of-house operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a solid background in food service and restaurant management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure smooth daily operations, and deliver memorable dining experiences for guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient restaurant operations
- Manage daily shift activities, including seating arrangements, order accuracy, and timely service
- Oversee food preparation and food handling procedures to maintain high standards of food safety and quality
- Operate POS systems such as Squirrel for order processing and cash handling
- Lead team management tasks including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hospitality standards
- Handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and enhance overall guest satisfaction
- Assist in supervising restaurant cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health codes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and address any operational issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as food service, restaurant management, or hospitality, with supervising experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with Squirrel, Open Table and cash handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
- Experience in interviewing, training, and developing team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated understanding of restaurant operations including serving, food handling, and kitchen coordination
- Legally allowed to work

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
