Job Summary:
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is responsible for the management of overall battery sales growth of their allocated region through growth opportunities with current customer base, customer retention, and new customer acquisition throughout CAA Club footprint. Ensuring the success of the Company’s marketing and business development strategy in the Canadian region. The RAM will be in contact daily with current and prospective Club customers, managing opportunity and up-selling current accounts. RAM responsibilities include operational budgets, enhancing existing client relationships; developing new business opportunities; onboarding of new customers; developing policies or practices to improve program efficiencies; contributing to operational and marketing strategies; budget development and analysis, SmartData reporting, oversight of logistics and inventory management within region, and reporting results to division management. This position has latitude in discretionary decision-making, and receiving only general supervision from Departmental Vice-President and requires the regular use of independent judgement and discretion.

Duties/Responsibilities:
•Development and execution of battery sales objectives, customer-facing strategy plans to meet sales targets.
•Management of departmental operating budgets for accountable CAA regions.
•Responsible for compliance of CAA Club Participate Agreements.
•Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements in customer experience, health & safety, operations and administrative functions.
•Working across departments to ensure customers’ needs are met in all areas including Accounts Receivable, Product & Technical (tester technology, roadside applications, and solutions), Marketing, Training, Product Fulfillment.
•Work directly with Operations Manager on product forecast needs by region, new customer set-up, consignment management, warranty adjudication administration, customer concerns/issues related to battery deliveries.
•Predict future market trends and develop new sales ideas.
•Battery deliveries as required in peak volume periods
•Travel throughout territory 50% (Canada) 10% (U.S) 5% with overnight stays as required
•Perform other duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Bachelor’s Degree – Business Administration or related discipline
•5+ year of Sales/Account Management experience preferably in the automotive industry
•Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client support, including client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction
•Strong presentation development and delivery skills required
•Ability to analyze and interpret data – leverage to develop performance strategies
•Will lead projects and/or project teams in initiation, planning, execution and control of smaller, mid-level complexity projects
•Manage project scope, time, cost, quality, staff, risk, procurement, integration and communication
•Handle project coordination and/or responsibility for distinct deliverables across multiple projects
•Experienced in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
•Strong attention to detail
•Excellent organizational and communication skills
•Implementation skills; ability to identify, schedule and complete tasks independently
•Professional demeanor and high ethical standard
•Strong decision-making / judgement skills; solution-oriented

Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
•Project Management discipline considered an asset
