We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in healthcare and patient care, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in pharmacy setting is preferred, along with strong communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology. CANDIDATE MUST BE FLUENTLY BILINGUAL (FRENCH AND ENGLISH)
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately
- Manage patient medication records and ensure confidentiality
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Handle inventory management, including restocking supplies and medications
- Process insurance claims and billing information efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment following safety protocols
- Support medication administration processes as needed, adhering to regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members to ensure seamless service delivery
Experience
- Previous pharmacy assistant experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to medications and patient care
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient confidentiality standards
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism and compassion
