Moatira is an AI-powered investment research SaaS for long-term public market investors.
We are looking for a hands-on senior engineer who can turn product specs into production-quality software using an AI-assisted development workflow.
This is not a ticket-runner role. The core responsibility is to keep the technical system disciplined: architecture, security, data integrity, tests, migrations, and production readiness.
What you’ll do
- Break down product specs into clear implementation tasks
- Direct Claude Code / AI coding tools to implement modules
- Review AI-generated code for architecture, security, correctness, and maintainability
- Implement or refine full-stack features when needed
- Maintain clean boundaries across routes, services, repositories, validation, and view models
- Own database migrations, RLS policies, test coverage, and deployment readiness
- Improve CI, monitoring, logging, and release discipline
- Fix bugs and handle production issues
- Escalate product or domain decisions when technical implementation depends on business judgment

The codebase is already structured with architecture documents and module boundaries. You are inheriting an existing system, not starting from scratch.
Requirements
- 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience, or 5+ years with strong production SaaS ownership
- Shipped production applications using Next.js / React / TypeScript
- Strong PostgreSQL experience; Supabase and RLS experience strongly preferred
- Experience with authentication, authorization, multi-tenant architecture, and data isolation
- Actively uses AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar
- Can independently judge the quality and risk of AI-generated code
- Comfortable reviewing PRs, writing tests, improving architecture, and fixing production issues
- Self-directed remote worker with strong written communication
- Comfortable working under least-privilege access, clear confidentiality obligations, and production-data restrictions
Nice to have
- Experience with financial SaaS, analytics dashboards, research platforms, CRM/workflow systems, or compliance-sensitive software
- Experience with AI APIs, embeddings, caching, background jobs, or evaluation pipelines
- Experience building early-stage SaaS products from prototype to production
- Familiarity with investment research workflows is helpful but not required
Engagement
We prefer to start with a fixed-scope contract or fractional engagement. The initial focus will be architecture review, AI-assisted implementation workflow, PR review, testing discipline, and selected non-core feature modules.
This role may expand over time depending on product traction and working fit.
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
