DuMoulin Boskovich LLP is a full service firm with locations in Vancouver, Kelowna and Vernon, BC. Our office is looking for an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant/Paralegal for our clients. This is a full-time, permanent position that is based in the Kelowna or Vernon area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing annual maintenance for BC, federal and extra-provincial companies, and societies
- Attending to routine company changes such as change of directors and officers, registered and records offices
- Preparing documents for dividends, share redemptions, share transfers
- Ordering searches and filing documents with BC Online, BC Business Registry and Corporations Canada
- Preparing and filing documents for incorporations, reorganizations, amalgamations, dissolutions, restorations
- Forwarding mail, preparing outgoing minute books, preparing virtual minute books
- Reviewing minute books
- Maintaining ALF database
- Assembling documents and virtual closing binders for commercial transactions
- Communicating with clients, agents and government offices
- Billing, filing, photocopying and scanning
Key qualifications and skills:
- Legal administrative assistant or paralegal certificate/diploma from an accredited program
- 2+ years of related experience
- Experience with BC Online, BC Business Registry and Corporations Canada
- Experience with ALF
- Strong computer and document production skills (proficiency with MS Office)
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Pay: $43,304.35-$71,743.95 per year
