We are currently recruiting few Personal Support Workers to assist our female employer with all activities of daily living.
Although the employer spends much of her time studying (especially during evenings) as a university student, when she has time, she enjoy doing arts and crafts, building puzzles and LEGO, watching shows and movies, going to the mall or the cinema, and going for walks when the weather allows it.
The employer enjoys talking and forming friendships with her caregivers, so she is looking for someone who is outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic about their job.
Location:
- Surrey (Near Buddhist Vihara Society in BC)
Available Shifts:
- Monday to Sunday: 6PM to 1AM
- Saturday and Sunday: 11AM to 4PM
- Monday and Friday: 9:30AM to 2:30PM
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Personal care including bathing and toileting, grooming, dressing
- Assist with tracheostomy care and monitoring, suctioning
- Light housekeeping, cleaning ventilator equipment
- Standing transfer but ceiling lift available
- Meal preparation
- Helping with daily exercises
- Help with dog care (taking outside for the bathroom, cleaning her and filling her food and water bowls)
Requirements:
- Some caregiving experience required
- Must have knowledge of tracheostomy and be willing to learn trach care
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid (minimum 2 doses)
- Up to date flu shot
- DL and a vehicle required
- Punctual and able to communication in English fluently
- Must be willing to wear a mask at work
- Non-smoking/non-vaping
- Willing to undergo criminal record check
- Comfortable working in an environment with a small dog
