The Social Media Manager is a member of the Marketing Team and reports to the Director of Communications.

Key Responsibilities

Development of an annual social media strategy to support corporate objectives
Create, develop and execute the social strategies across all channels
Plan, create and implement campaigns which drive engagement, increase audience and raise brand awareness
Develop innovative content and stories about our brands and locations
Daily monitoring of CBI social media properties
Actively engage in social media conversations and engage with community content
Experience with Facebook Locations is an asset
Manage the employee advocacy platform (Sprout Social/PostBeyond) to increase brand reach, providing tailored, sharable content, curating content suggested by users and driving participation in the platform
Analyze ROI and effectiveness of social campaigns and deliver comprehensive reporting on performance and trends, making recommendations for improvements
Collaborate and support marketing leads with social media opportunities aligned to marketing plans
Required Skills and Experience

5+ years’ marketing experience in a fast paced environment including social media experience managing a feed or channel for a company

Marketing, Business, PR, Communications or similar relevant Bachelor’s degree
Hootsuite and Google Analytics certifications a strong asset
Complete fluency in English (French and asset)
Deep understanding of key social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube
Experience with social media scheduling, listening, aggregator and reporting tools
Strong writing skills
Image and video editing skills are highly beneficial
Experience in reporting analytics
Project management experience, including the ability to define goals and deliverables, lead and implement programs on time and within budget
