Infinity Lodge is an independent living program for youth aged 15-21.
We are looking for an evening youth worker to join our team and provide support to young people in our community. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with youth and will be responsible for providing guidance, mentorship, and support to young people in our program. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with youth, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop meaningful relationships with the youth they serve.
Responsibilities:
-Provide guidance and support to young people
-Develop and maintain relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals
-Develop and implement programs to meet the needs of young people
-Provide information and advice to young people on issues such as education, health, housing, employment, and social activities
-Identify any issues or problems that may arise and take appropriate action to resolve them
-Work with other professionals such as social workers, teachers, and health professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people
Duties:
-Plan and implement educational programs and activities for youth
-Create a safe and supportive environment for youth to learn and grow
-Provide guidance and support to youth in their personal and academic development
-Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement program goals
-Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth participants
-Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and program activities
Experience:
-Previous experience working with youth in an educational or mentoring capacity
-Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in youth education
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for youth
-Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of young people
