Manatokan Oilfield Services Inc., part of the ASCO Group of Companies, is a full-service fluid management and industrial and chemical cleaning company with bases in La Corey (Lakeland Region) and Conklin (Athabasca Region), Alberta, Canada.
Manatokan is currently looking for a Camp Attendant to assist with our camp in Conklin, AB. The Camp Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workforce camp environment. Duties include cleaning dormitory common areas, managing room turnovers, maintaining occupancy records, and supporting kitchen and shared facility operations. The role requires strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. They consistently provide positive service and assistance to all camp employees and the occupants while making sure to follow all company policies and procedures set out hereby.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and garbage removal throughout the camp.
· Clean and sanitize washrooms, showers, dormitories, common areas, laundry facilities, kitchens, and the boot room.
· Maintain laundry facilities by cleaning washers, dryers, surrounding areas, and removing dryer lint after each cycle.
· Restock housekeeping and washroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other consumables.
· Complete room turnovers, including resident check-outs, cleaning, linen changes, and scheduled bedding replacements.
· Maintain accurate camp occupancy records, room assignments, and housekeeping documentation.
· Track resident arrivals, departures, room assignments, and overall camp occupancy.
· Coordinate with dispatch regarding resident accommodations and room availability.
· Report maintenance issues, damage, theft, safety concerns, and abandoned property to the Operations Manager.
· Communicate housekeeping requirements and supply needs with kitchen and maintenance staff.
· Assist with meal service, dining area cleanup, and general kitchen support as required.
· Monitor, refill, clean, and perform weekly deep cleaning of the camp juice machine.
· Complete daily administrative records and housekeeping documentation.
· Prioritize workload and respond to changing operational needs in a fast-paced camp environment.
· Perform additional cleaning and camp support duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years’ Previous housekeeping, janitorial, camp, hotel, lodge, or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience working with remote oil & gas camps would be preferred.
- Valid WHMIS Certification an asset.
· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, walking, sweeping, mopping, and carrying supplies for extended periods.
· Adhere to camp policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.
· Ability to maintain accurate records and complete basic administrative paperwork.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
· Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments, including dispatch, maintenance, and kitchen staff.
