The Material Handler is responsible for the movement of all Materials items as required to ensure the efficient flow of production and completing all paperwork as required including pre-shift forklift inspection forms. Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
Background in manufacturing with experience in supporting quality and safety initiatives.
Possession of a valid sit-down counterbalance (Class IV or V) forklift certification is required.
Possession of valid reach truck, tugger certification is considered an asset and/or ability to pass required certification.
Experience as a material handler in an automotive and/or warehousing environment considered an asset.
Must be physically capable of performing essential duties of the job, including material decanting.
Working knowledge of the English language - both written and oral.
Must successfully complete recurring forklift training renewals every three (3) years.
Must be willing to work on a straight afternoon shift basis without hesitation.
Must be in good standing with a strong attendance record and no progressive discipline on file within the past twelve months at or above a written warning. Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Responsible for the coordinated movement of containers to and from racking and press shop production areas.
Supports all production and any material handling requirements necessary on all shifts assigned
Operates all required mobile equipment to accomplish tasks using the appropriate vehicle class.
Accurately completes all paperwork as required including pre-shift forklift Inspection forms.
Ensures that work is completed and any required product is staged correctly in preparation for the next shift.
Follow and enforce the Maple Stamping Escalation Procedure(s).

Works under general supervision of Group and Team Leads or designee(s).
Wears all PPE including company provided uniforms.
Required to carry out routine, repetitive tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, packing, stacking and bending. Manual decanting is an essential duty of this job.
Regular exposure to noise/temperature and / or adverse weather conditions/ work outside, depending upon season.
Regularly exposed to lubricants.
May be required to work overtime in order to support customer requirements. Additional Information
