Highlights of this opportunity:

- Join a team that provides coverage of the issues facing Indigenous communities locally, nationally and worldwide;
- Operate cameras and broadcasting equipment for newsgathering, shooting of interviews, b-roll, live stand-ups, stock footage, etc.;
- Incorporate internet-based and user-generated content for editing as required;
- Operate linear and non-linear editing systems and digitizes material;
- Conduct live double-ender interviews from studio or remote locations as required;
- Collaborate with team members and work well independently;
- Perform required requests to and from all APTN formats;
- Assists other team members and carries out other duties as needed and assigned;
- Contribute ideas for better visual storytelling.
Your accomplishments and experience include:
- Diploma or certificate in a relevant discipline combined with proven related experience, and traditional knowledge;
- A valid driver’s license and a clear driver’s abstract;
- Knowledge of AVID editing software and broadcast industry cameras/technology;
- TV Broadcast experience is an asset;
- Experience working with an Indigenous organization as well as knowledge of Indigenous cultural perspectives is an asset.
