Role Overview
JKCE Probuild Contracting Corp. is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead daily site operations and support the successful delivery of construction projects throughout British Columbia.
The successful candidate will oversee trade coordination, scheduling, quality control, site safety, and overall construction execution from start to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily on-site construction activities.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and inspectors.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure work is performed in accordance with project schedules, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers and the project team to support project planning and execution.
- Coordinate site logistics, material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce requirements.
- Conduct regular site meetings and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders.
- Review drawings and identify potential conflicts, deficiencies, or constructability issues.
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements, company safety policies, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Monitor workmanship and maintain quality control throughout all stages of construction.
- Coordinate inspections, consultant reviews, and authority approvals as required.
- Maintain daily site reports, progress records, and project documentation.
- Assist with project deficiencies, occupancy requirements, and project closeout activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Site Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or similar site leadership role.
- Proven experience delivering construction projects from site mobilization and excavation through to occupancy, deficiencies, and project closeout.
- Previous experience working for a General Contractor is preferred.
- Experience with mid-rise or high-rise wood-frame construction projects is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with underground concrete parkades, foundation construction, and structural framing is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and trade coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and construction safety practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Occupational First Aid (OFA), Gold Seal Certification (GSC), Construction Safety Officer (CSO), or other construction-related certifications are considered assets.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
