Duties
- Develop and implement engaging daily activities that promote early childhood development across cognitive, emotional, social, and physical domains
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and well-being at all times
- Foster inclusive environments by supporting children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners to share progress and address concerns
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities using computer-based systems
- Organize classroom materials and resources to ensure a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment
- Lead by example in promoting positive behavior, conflict resolution, and social skills among children
Experience
- Valid registration as an Early Childhood Educator with the appropriate licensing body
- Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings; minimum 1 year
- Experience supporting children with special education needs is an asset
- Strong classroom management skills combined with excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide and mentor team members
- Proficiency in documentation, communication, and program planning
- Excellent written communication skills to prepare reports and maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development theories, and best practices in childcare
