TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE: INDUSTRIAL PAINT AND POWDER COATING EQUIPMENT
LOCATION TERRITORY Milton to Port Hope and North to Barrie
TRAVEL Four days per week on the road
OFFICE One day per week in Kitchener Waterloo Cambridge Ontario
THE OPPORTUNITY
If you are a true sales professional who wants to earn strong income selling high value industrial systems, this role offers the opportunity to own a territory, build relationships, and close meaningful projects.
This is a field-based technical sales role focused on selling capital equipment and engineered industrial systems to manufacturers including OEMs, automotive suppliers, and metal fabricators.
You will be in front of customers, walking plant floors, and managing the full sales cycle. If you prefer inside sales or a desk-based role, this position will not be a fit.
HOW THE ROLE WORKS
Four days per week visiting customers, prospects, and job sites
Following up on leads from marketing, website inquiries, and suppliers
One day per week in the office for meetings and alignment with leadership, service, and operations
This is a sales-driven role focused on building relationships and closing business, not an engineering or support position.
WHAT YOU WILL BE SELLING
Capital equipment and engineered systems
Typical project size ranging from one million to five million dollars
Sales cycles ranging from six to eighteen months
Combination of turnkey systems and component or distribution sales
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
On target earnings typically range from one hundred thousand to one hundred ten thousand dollars with strong upside
Competitive base salary plus commission based on performance
Company vehicle or car allowance
Fuel, insurance, and maintenance covered
Full benefits including medical, dental, and prescription coverage
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Five to seven years of sales experience, ideally in capital equipment or industrial products
Comfortable spending most of the week in the field
Strong follow up skills and ability to manage long sales cycles
Technically curious with an interest in industrial systems and processes
Experience with paint, powder coating, or finishing systems is an asset
Post secondary education preferred
