Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess/Server/Bartender to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Prior experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations to ensure efficient seating arrangements
- Take and relay customer orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and food handling
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Provide attentive customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table setup and breakdown
- Assist with bar service as needed, including preparing drinks and managing bar inventory
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling protocols
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver prompt service without compromising quality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food industry settings is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables or tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment within a fast-paced setting
- Hospitality or food service training is a plus but not required
- Must be at least 18 years old or older to serve alcohol (if applicable)
