ABOUT THE POSITION
The Logistics & LTL Freight Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of outbound shipments. This position is responsible for reviewing daily shipment orders, obtaining and analyzing freight quotes from multiple carriers, and selecting the best transportation solutions based on cost, service levels, transit times, and customer requirements. Working closely with warehouse, packaging, and transportation teams, this role proactively monitors shipment progress, resolves logistics issues, communicates with carriers regarding pickups, delays, and claims, and ensures all freight activities comply with company procedures and customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and process daily outbound ltl shipment orders after packaging is completed
- Access multiple carrier portals to obtain and compare freight quotes based on shipment size, weight, destination, transit time, and service requirements
- Analyze freight rates and determine the best carrier option balancing cost, service level, and delivery efficiency
- Schedule and book carrier pickups for completed shipments (booking trucks and scheduling pickups/drop offs in a timely manner to meet requested dates, while using the most cost-effective solutions.) prepare and organize all required shipping paperwork, including BOLs (Bills of Lading, Proforma, commercial invoices, customs invoices, packing slips), shipping labels, manifests, and related documentation
- Communicate with freight carriers regarding pickup appointments, shipment status, delays, claims, or special requirements
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve carrier or scheduling issues proactively
- Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems with tracking and freight information
- Coordinate with warehouse and packaging teams to ensure shipments are ready on time for scheduled pickups
- Ensure all freight bookings comply with company procedures and customer requirements
- Verify and update tariff codes accordingly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, freight coordination, transportation, or shipping operations preferred
- Experience working with LTL freight carriers and carrier portals
- Strong understanding of freight terminology, shipping documentation, and carrier scheduling
- Ability to compare freight rates efficiently and make cost-effective shipping decisions
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage high daily shipment volumes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with computers, web portals, spreadsheets, and shipping software
- High attention to detail and accuracy
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with major LTL carriers and freight marketplaces
- Familiarity with Bills of Lading and freight classification systems
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or e-commerce shipping environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with daily deadlines

- Requires strong time management and follow-through to ensure all pickups are booked promptly and efficiently
COMPENSATION
- $25 – $26 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
