Summary :
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all fresh produce meets the organization's quality assurance policies and standards. This role involves identifying defects and production errors to prevent substandard products from entering the supply chain. The inspector will conduct thorough visual and measurement tests, maintain detailed records, and suggest improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of current quality control protocols.
Job Duties
- Ensure that all standard operating procedures are strictly followed at all times.
- Ensure compliance with CFIA regulations.
- Read and thoroughly understand all product specifications.
- Conduct visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable produce products.
- Follow First In-First Out (FIFO) procedures efficiently.
- Ensure correct labelling is used on products.
- Manage and conduct Coolers in orderly manner.
- Create and maintain a detailed and accurate report of test data.
- Provide suggestions on how to further improve current protocol testings’ effectiveness and efficiency when needed.
- Ensure accurate timely processing and organization of workflow for receiving and shipping functions.
- Other duties relevant to the position will be assigned as required Requirements.
- Post Secondary Education in an appropriate field.
- Minimum 2 years of direct work experience with QA systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated.
- standard is preferred.
Requirements :
- Post Secondary Education in an appropriate field.
- Minimum 2 years of direct work experience with QA in a food company, regulations, guidelines, and associated standard is preferred.
- Practical experience with product testing is preferred.
- Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
- Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Basic computer skills
- Must own a vehicle
