Work Conditions
- Applicants who reside locally will be given preference due to the location of this project
- 14/7 shift schedule, working 10 hours per day
- Private camp- based accommodations provided for non-local employees
- Travel allowance or flights booked from approved locations
- Union membership required with respective union under the Building Trades Alliance
Essential Responsibilities:
- Complete field survey requests, measurements, setup and configuring survey instruments
- Establish primary and secondary survey control
- Interpret and extrapolate surveying data from construction and design drawings
- Install survey stake lines and survey control monuments
- Help prepare surveying notes, grade sheets, and calculate coordinates
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of field Surveying experience with a focus on concrete formwork, structural elements, piling, earthworks and utilities
- Completed diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Experienced using Total Station and GPS equipment
- Knowledge of Trimble and Access software required
- Motivated, self-starter who can work well independently and within a team environment
- Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Candidates will be subject to a criminal background check (eRail Safe)
