Reporting to David Dexter, SIRT Director
The Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT) supports Ontario’s film, television and interactive media cluster. As a government funded Technology Access Centre, SIRT works with a dedicated staff, as well as faculty and students to conduct world-class applied research, training and other industry support activities that enable the adoption of new technology and business models for innovation. SIRT’s unique capacity through trusted partnerships with key industry organizations and technology leaders facilitates innovations within digital cinema, virtual and augmented reality, interactive media and artificial intelligence. SIRT is a key training partner in Ontario and play a vital role in ensuring the industry is trained to meet the demand of the screen industries.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
You will be planning, budgeting, organization and direction of all activities as required for the full implementation of training goals and objectives;
Analyze current business environment and develop a series of business cases with pricing strategies, processes for SIRT Training Centre;
Recognize training opportunities by providing courses, networking events and educational workshops for Ontario’s motion picture industry and Toronto’s VR/AR societies;
Establish strategic partnership with companies and associations for more projects;
You will be managing calendars, running events, setup and supervision of screen-based industries seminars and workshops, marketing/communications writing, preparing reports and financial data, and customer relations;
Increase operational efficiency through automation and deliver improved client experience.
Experience in running training programs.
Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking, problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong MS Office skills, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Capability to manage multiple priorities across a number of assignments and prioritize effectively with strong attention to detail.
Flexible working hours, able to work during weekends and evening.
Vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with project management or prior experience as a business analyst within a PMO or matrix organization would be considered an asset.
Prior experience in film, tv, video games or creative industries would be considered as asset.
