Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Construction, the Site Supervisor for Multi-Family (Condos) is responsible to oversee construction projects and ensure that projects are completed safely, on time and within the budget scope and timeline. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills and an in-depth understanding of commercial construction processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including construction, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Monitor progress and ensure that work is being carried out as per project timelines and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Enforce safety guidelines, regulations, and protocols to create a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure that all workers and subcontractors are following safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure that workmanship, materials, and construction methods meet the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify any defects or deviations from the project plan.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, daily activities, and any incidents or changes.
- Prepare reports for management, detailing project status, challenges, and accomplishments.
- Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the project, proposing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 -5 years of experience with Multi-Family Homes (Condos) in the construction industry in a similar role.
- A deep understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and techniques relevant to the specific type of project (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic proficiency in using construction management software, email, and other relevant computer tools.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
