Field Technician Job Description
- This is a piece rate contracted position
- A vehicle in good running order, and a ladder rack are required to begin working
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication equipment (Internet modems, digital TV boxes, and digital home phone systems)
- Climb ladders to perform maintenance and repair work
- Install and maintain cabling, and strict adherence to technical standards laid out by the operator we provide services to
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to telecommunication systems
Skills:
- Time management, ability to work under pressure while always conducting yourself in a professional manner
- Ability to climb ladders
- Comfortable with technology, and not afraid to take on complex problems and deliver customer focused solutions
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to telecommunication equipment
- Ability to work at heights
- Familiarity with cabling installation (coax and twisted pair phone wiring) and maintenance for telecommunication systems
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
