Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Document the inbound/outbound materials and ensure shipping deadlines, goals, and standards are met
- Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are met
- Accountable for efficiently and safely loading trailers for transport material in accordance with routing solutions
- Complete tasks as directed by warehouse schedules and within standard times
- Ensure inbound/outbound material area is clean, clear of hazards/debris and organized
- Assist other department workers as required
- Verify quantities on incoming PO’s
- Shift products to final BIN locations
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory
- Utilize inventory management software to update and monitor stock levels
- Communicate inventory issues and discrepancies to relevant departments and management
- Kitting within Acumatica
- Must ensure you are wearing appropriate PPE dictated by the work conditions (indoor and outdoor)
Education and Experience
- Highschool Education
- First Aid level 1 an asset
- Experience in automated assembly line production an asset
- WHMIS Certification an asset
- Valid Forklift license an asset
Key Skills and Competencies
- Previous experience working in a warehouse with inbound/outbound materials
- Possess working knowledge of WHMIS and OH&S
- Able to lift to 50lbs repetitively
- Have a high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Able to regularly stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shifts
- Able to efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
- Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment based on the item weight, including pallet jack, forklift, Straddle Stacker and by hand
- Proficient with computer use
- Proficient in the English language (written/spoken) with excellent communication skills
- Reliable, positive, and organized with a strong work ethic and excellent time administration skills
