Yaskawa is currently seeking a Site Manager for our small Montreal Quebec office to manage all facets of the operation. This role will be responsible for functions and related employees in Engineering, Service, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Shipping and Receiving, Marketing, Administrative, and Quality Assurance. The Site Manager will administer resources to ensure that financial targets are met, customer satisfaction is high, sales expand, organizational philosophy/policies/procedures move into alignment with overall Canada counterparts, quality products are manufactured on schedule, and that Montreal is continually striving to improve the cost, quality, and lead-time of our products.

More specifically, this role will:
Administer company policies, directing and coordinating all activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives. Provides direction and adjustment as needed.
Manage supports engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth.
Develop and review operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets.
The successful candidate will have significant experience managing an independent operation within the Industrial Automation industry with a strong preference for the LV Drives or Motion experience.

More specifically, we are looking for someone who:
  • B.S. degree, ideally in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or Business, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing and supervising multiple direct reports and sub-reports.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience directly related to sales, with a preference for Sales and Marketing experience or Minimum of 2 years’ experience
with technical support or application support.

  • Fluent in French and English
  • Knowledge of Yaskawa’s (as well as competitor’s) products, channels and strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of situational selling, value propositions and interpersonal relationships, OR thorough understanding of the technical
workings of variable speed drives.

  • Good working knowledge of analyzing company financials and performance data.
  • Ability to manage people; set priorities; analyze situations; and make decisions. Implement procedures; plan, organize and control workflow.
  • Good working knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Quality Control/Quality Assurance.
