Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide essential in-home assistance to clients in need of personal care and daily living support. This role involves helping individuals maintain independence, improve their quality of life, and receive personalized care in a respectful and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact on clients’ lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to promote mental well-being
- Help with light housekeeping tasks including laundry, meal preparation, and tidying living spaces
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any concerns or changes to healthcare professionals or family members
- Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare providers
- Support clients in attending appointments or engaging in community activities when needed
- Follow care plans and document services provided accurately and timely
Requirements
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed care instructions
- Prior experience in home support or caregiving is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are a plus for assisting with errands or appointments
- Ability to lift or assist with mobility support as needed
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse individuals
- Must pass background checks and adhere to safety protocols and confidentiality standards
