Human Resources and Office Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity at our Vancouver downtown office to join the role of a Human Resources and Office Administrator working with Management. Your role will include but are not limited to the following:
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth running of HR and office operations.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires, including preparing welcome materials, coordinating IT setup, and reviewing policies.
- Support with staff scheduling, time-off tracking, department coverage and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Help coordinate and prepare documentation for performance reviews and employee check-ins.
- Assist managers with routine employee relations matters.
- Maintain and update HR files, personnel records, and internal databases.
- Coordinate office supplies, equipment maintenance, and liaise with vendors or building management as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information.
- Support payroll processes by gathering timesheets, benefits information, and forwarding data to payroll providers.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment, software programs and coordinate with IT for staff technical issues
- Provide coverage for the HR Manager during leave periods
- Help maintain a positive and professional office environment in line with the firm’s values and policies.
- Perform general office administration duties such as filing, scanning, and mail handling.
Experience:
- Previous working experience in a employee relations and human resources field role for 2+ years.
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Be empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with employees.
- Excellent accuracy and the ability to exercise initiative and good judgement.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands, volumes and schedules.
- Other clerical and administrative support duties as directed by the HR Manager and Partners.
